Biodiesel has been proven to reduce the emissions of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and particulates. Therefore under the Secunderabad Divisional Office, Indian Oil has installed this facility. The system is aimed to provide accurate blending of biodiesel with IOCL supplied High Speed Diesel (HSD). Online blending can be by two different methods, either Ratio blending or Sequential blending. It would be the first time Vermont flow meters are used for blending of biodiesel and HSD.
