Vermont Technologies participated in Weights and Measure (State of Maharashtra Legal Metrology) project for measurement of oil receipt at retail petrol pump stations. It involved supply of unloading skid; Comprising of PD Flow Meter, unloading pump and motor and associated accessories.

When a tank truck arrives at retail station, petroleum oil is unloaded through this system to measure quantity received by the retail station. This is an added step to prevent theft or manipulation of the fuel quantities in between transportation.

Vermont was invited for this pilot project initiated by oil companies and state’s Weight & Measures legal metrology department. The results are very encouraging and if successful, this skid could be implemented at various retail stations throughout the state of Maharashtra. At present this has been commissioned at HPCL COCO (Wadala retail station).
